Where can I get boxes
to help me move?
We will supply them to you and will even pack them for you. Expert Removals provide a full packing service, taking all the hassle of packing and moving away from you.
When should I notify utilities of move?
Give your current utility company advance notice at least three weeks before you move. They will cancel services on the old address, and schedule for someone to come out to service at the new one. Remember, the summer is a particularly hectic time to move, so remember not to switch providers until you’ve been introduced and connected.
What are the best boxes for moving?
Sturdy boxes are always recommended. We can provide you with these as well as special moving crates for larger or more delicate items.
How many boxes
do I need to move?
This is difficult to judge without knowing what items are moving or size of house/premises etc. A quick call with a member of our team and we will have a pretty good idea how many boxes you may need.
How long does it take a moving company to
pack a house?
One of the most difficult aspects about moving is figuring out how to get all your stuff into boxes. If you’re packing up a studio or one-bedroom apartment, it should take 2-3 hours (approx) depending on what size and shape box you use for certain items. It takes anywhere from 5-6 hours (approx) to pack an average three bedroom house and a little longer for packing the contents of a four bedroom home, but then again we do this everyday and with the right equipment so we probably do it a bit quicker than most!
Do movers
disassemble beds?
It depends on the removal company. Some do offer this service but not all of them. But yes, we can disassemble any furniture that needs to be. Often beds needs to be in order to transport them safely.
Do packers and movers pack everything?

How do I prepare
my house for moving?
– Collect all of your belongings and assign them a box.
– Make sure you clearly label each box with what’s inside and where it should go in the new house. If there are any fragile items that need special care, make sure to include those instructions on the outside of the box. For example: “Books – Handle With Care”

What day should you move into a new house?
Thursday is considered by some to be the luckiest day of the week! This may work out in your favour if you’re moving into a new home, but it’s also worth considering that more people are probably planning on doing so during this time and getting vans and packers might be hard! We work Monday – Saturday (and even a Sunday if really required!) so any day suits us to be honest!

in them?
We encourage clothes and other items stored in dressers be moved into boxes or moving bags as dressers and similar items can be bulky and heavy, therefore can be difficult to move and navigate. It is safer that these are empty. Again we can help you pack and unpack these if you wish to make it easier for you.
